"The have a guide"

A guide is a reference, by definition. A suggestion.

At no point does it say that anyone has to follow it.

If the mechanic tells you 20 hours, for something the guide says 5 hours, he's allowed to do that.

It's not fraud, theft, or anything illegal.

Nevermind that time estimates, are exactly that. Estimates. It might start as a simple job, turn difficult, and take much more time.

All of which is simple, easy logic.

Most online sites offer 2 address lines, in addition to the name line and the city/state/zip line. In your circumstance, I would flip the address/room # with the name of the building when filling out the mailing info on the website.

Example:

Jane Doe------> on the name line
123 School Street, Apt 23------> "Address Line 1"
Honors Building------> "Address Line 2"
Anytown, AL 54321------> City, ST ZIP

This way, your school still has the crucial mailing info, and the company/mailing service (UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc) can easily locate the address.

Make sure they are a major store. Smaller websites that are less popular are less trustworthy.

Ask around. Look online for reviews of the website.
