Cap and trade will increase energy bills by at least 25 to 40 percent. Many businesses will go bankrupt and millions of jobs will be lost. Public schools and local government operating costs will skyrocket, focing great increases in property taxes.

We are at 25 percent of pollution and the rest of the world does not care….we cannot save the world…only ourselves. We need to get that under control and yes it will mean cutting jobs and programs that don't work. It is called reform. We need it. There is no point funding programs that don't work. The government has been living beyond its means for far too long.

The economy shouldn't rely on the government in the first place. That is not the purpose of our government. That is the purpose of a socialist government. Our economy is a free market capitalist economy based on the laissez-faire economic philosophy.
