What You Need to Know About the Positive Effect of Online Commerce

Building an online commerce site requires multiple elements to be successful. One of the key elements is setting up a system for <a title=Learn About Credit Card Processing at Merchant Partners rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview(’/outgoing/article_exit_link’);” rel=”external nofollow” target=”_blank” href=http://merchantpartners.com/page/1a7uf/Landing_Pages3/Credit_Card_Processing.html>credit card processing</a>. This will allow you the ability to accept credit card payments online without the need of a swipe machine. Another crucial part of the process is setting up a <a title=Sign Up for a Gateway Now at Merchant Partners rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview(’/outgoing/article_exit_link’);” rel=”external nofollow” target=”_blank” href=http://merchantpartners.com/page/1a7vc/Landing_Pages6/Payment_Gateway.html>payment gateway</a>so your transactions will know where to go when processed. Like what bank the money withdrawn from customer’s credit card will go.

Once you have a payment gateway setup, credit card processing becomes easy. Normally on a website, the transaction will sit in queue waiting your approval. The credit card number can only be seen before you process the transaction. Once you process the transaction, the system delete’s all except the last four of the credit card number. This is so you cannot have a record of past credit card numbers, as this is a major security risk.
Once the transaction has been processed, the next step is to access your payment gateway. You want to make sure the credit card hasn’t been declined for any reason. Decline messages will show up with an error number that can easily be referenced. Some errors will be obvious like, “Invalid Expiration Date”, or “Invalid Address”. These are usually customer error, and you will need to contact them to get the correct information.
When initially creating your website, it’s likely that you will receive orders before you have credit card processing setup on the site. Orders processed before the integration of the gateway in your site cannot be automatically processed. Therefore once you get the gateway setup, these orders can be processed manually. When processing manually, the form to fill out in the gateway is much like the one you see when you checkout on a website. Usually you will need the CVV2 code to process manually which you will need to get from the customer who purchased the order.

When in the payment gateway, you can also setup FRISK management. FRISK management prevents customers who accidentally hit the back button on their browser after initiating the transaction, and create a duplicate transaction. If the two transactions are between minutes of each other, the system will deny the second transaction so the card doesn’t get charged twice. If the customer wants two of the same thing, they should be updating the quantity in the initial transaction, rather than making two separate transactions for the same item.

When building an ecommerce website, you need to be sure you have all of the tools you need. Online credit card processing is crucial. No one is going to send you a check in the mail. A payment gateway is important to have so the transactions know where to go, and if something happens to the transaction, you can process the cards manually. Keep these key factors in mind when building your ecommerce website.

e-commerce, online shopping and online e-services will spread in future, gradually at the ratio it spreading now. No doubt! Banking, financial institutes services will go paperless mostly. People will become much more busy and will find it easier to browse and find things much easier at a online shop instead of wasting whole day at shopping centre. Hacking, spamming, exploiting, cybercrime etc. will increase as a threat to the e-business BUT at the same time new techniques will be introduced to face them. Barclays bank's online users know one of them, you DONT need to supply a password to access your online account! Futuristic!
    Thats what I believe.

I didn’t do an analysis on their entire product line or site. My point was, as I said before, simply “rank alone isn’t everything” (ie. Alexa Rating)

  4. For the "online marketing" half of your question, I'd like to recommend two authors: Jennifer Laycock and Jakob Nielsen. Jennifer is one of the top US experts in search marketing, and Jakob is the preeminent expert in user interface design. As the Director of Marketing for my e-commerce company, my own philosophy is that web marketing is MOSTLY about user interface: making your website work on the terms of the customer, not the merchant. You can find both of these authors easily on Amazon.

From what I have seen, all the free ones have their drawbacks. … I like cubecart better than zen cart. But to tell you the truth, first time I tried it – I didn't get very far. It makes so much more sense now that I have an understanding of programming!

So my suggestion: Try cubecart but don't trust their shipping calculations too much. There is a $2 rural charge for my town that they don't seem to know about. So it is always $2 short on shipping. … I ended up just making it $5 flat-rate shipping no matter what you order.

@MonsuerLePlague “soft sided luggage” is a really low level keyword google com/insights/search/#q=soft%20sided%20luggage%2C&cmpt=q that searchword gets 2.900 per month… is nothing, if they get 5 dolars per click than is silly that thy dont spend heavily in search engines, seo, or social networks

You don't need anything to start an e-commerce store. What you might need to do is the following.

    1. Go to your town clerk's and get an application to do business under another name. this is called a "DBA" or "Doing Business As". use the domain name that you will use on the web as your new DBA

    2. Once you have your DBA, you can go to your state dept website as look up a "resale tax certificate" What this does is allow you to collect taxes on products sold, and this is also used for you to buy good at wholesale from vendors.

Assuming that what you will be selling you will need to get wholesale.

    3. This are very easy forms and very easy for you to get, once you are on your way to making money look into incorporating your self either as a LLC of a Corp. this is good if you get bigger because it protects you from any legal issues.

But to be honest for the most part if you don't need to buy anything wholesale you really don't need much. The above (1 and 2) are good to have because it makes you a legal business.

below I have given a website or too that might help

    Good luck

It’s not a terribly fantastic rank, but what about keywords? “soft sided luggage” gets them on the first page of google, which isn’t half bad. And like they said in the video, they’re averaging $5/visit, without PPC. That’s purely organic. Anyways, just saying, rank alone isn’t everything.

    Hi..

You could try these links and see what suits you.

  14. To have your website look appealing and professional, you need to get web space and a domain name. Yahoo! has a great small business package. They also have very easy site building tools. You need to get a merchant account. This will allow you to accept credit cards on your site. If you have decent credit, try major financial institutions. If you have poor credit, get a pay pal merchant account.
You need to go to your town hall, and register your trade name. Then go to your state or province's web site and figure out what type of sales tax you will need to pay. Fill out the forms, and get a tax ID number.
E-stores made from drop-shipped merchandise can be a great way to get into business. It is inexpensive startup, and will help you get necessary experience.

One I found that seems to fill the bill is Cameleon Commerce Suite. (Yes, that's the way they spell it!) I'm sure there must be others.

25-30k is the going rate that professional web-production companies charge (and rightly so) for high-functionality web applications, such as ecommerce sites.
