Your business card is CRAP!

Your <a href=business card is CRAP!">

To achieve financial independence, experts encourage even currently employed individuals to consider entrepreneurship. Setting up your own business, no matter how small, is touted as one of the best ways toward building the foundation for wealth. Those who are concerned about having a safety net need not take the plunge recklessly. One can start setting up a small business even while employed.

Of crucial use to small businesses are credit card services and small business loans. The entrepreneur needs to know how to avail of these tools and how to effectively wield them for maximum business growth.

Credit Card Services

A small business would do well to get reputable credit card services in order to prosper in the current business climate. Availing of credit card services will enable it to accept both credit card and debit card payments. This is true either for brick-and-mortar businesses or internet based online businesses. After all, most consumers nowadays routinely use credit cards or debit cards for payment purposes. It only makes good business sense to be well-equipped for the needs of credit card users and debit card users as well as for the needs of customers who pay in cash.

Merchant services provide credit card services covering a wide range of solutions for the processing of credit cards and debit cards as payment options. These credit card services include traditional terminal equipment at point of sale, where credit cards or debit cards are swiped. It also includes software and high speed IP solutions for both traditional commerce and e-commerce. Credit card and debit card payments can, therefore, be accepted in person or through the internet, by phone or by fax.

Small Business Loans

Any business – whether a small start-up business, a medium-scaled one or a big business company – will be needing an infusion of additional capital sooner or later. Additional capital is always needed for expansion, additional inventory, additional manpower, new systems, new equipment or a new physical layout.

Capital is not always easy to come by, though. The original investors’ personal coffers may have been emptied by the earlier outlays. Prospective investors may not be keen on shelling out funds in times of crisis. Businesses, therefore, have no choice but to seek business loans.

Getting business loans is a difficult process. Even small business loans are not readily approved. Be prepared to present a lot of documentation and paperwork. For small business loans, the proprietor’s personal credit history is taken into account and related references need to be submitted. Of course, the company’s financial statements are just as important in proving the feasibility of the business and its capacity to repay its business loans. Having a detailed business plan will show your business strategies and projections, demonstrating your business acumen.

Unfortunately, even with all the requirements completed, applications for business loans – including small business loans – are, more often than not, disapproved.

Solutions

Some merchant services provide a comprehensive solution for the needs of small businesses in relation to credit card services and small business loans. The set up is elegantly simple. A small business need only avail of the company’s credit card services to be eligible for merchant cash advances. These cash advances are actually small business loans, except that there is no need to go through the complicated application process for business loans. Repayment is made very easy and worry-free, too. A certain small percentage is built into the credit card processing rates to take care of the advances. This way, repayment is actually done automatically in a very affordable manner and according to income flow.

Small business owners would, indeed, be wise to look into these timely business solutions.

That's terrible reasoning. Under that line of thinking, I should be able to go into a bank and demand a loan in any amount – say $1 billion dollars. Then, I can simply declare bankruptcy and the bank can eat it.

You are NOT spending YOUR money when you use a credit card; you are using the bank's. They are perfectly within their rights to limit the amount they are going to let you use.

  8. but what you are not taking into consideration is that mccain has personally stated that he knows nothing about the economy and palin sure as hell won't be helping him, and the economy was fantastic while clinton was in office, regardless of what is occuring now.

  9. I'm glad your bank is working with you, and I hope they replace the money in your account asap.

    Here is just my opinion:

They have credit card swipers that can remember all of the information on your card, that you can hook up to a computer and access it. These swipers are even battery powered now, and can fit in your pocket. She may have had a fake one near the real credit card machine. Once they have your info on the fake machine, they can reproduce a card with a magnetic strip with the same information

There were probably a few cards made, and either sold to a few people (or just given to them if they work together). Those people probably went to gas stationed and told people they needed cash, and would fill up their tank on their credit card, if they would give them the cash they were going to use. They may even offer them 50 worth of gas for 40 cash.

The only thing that puzzles me is, that someone with the intelligence to recreate the cards would use a card from an airport, where someone is obviously traveling, making it easier to trace. I guess people can be intelligent, yet morons at the same time.

Your ideas have great merit — several places in NYC became private smoking clubs as a result of bans.

Eating establishments that catered to a primarily adult clientele were hurt the greatest during the smoking bans of the 80s and 90s. Many had to close their doors. Waiters and Waitress also noticed their income drop dramatically, as smokers tended to be better tippers. I realize that is hard for someone in their 20s to imagine, but talk to any waiter who was working during those decades, and they will affirm that proportionately, the best tips came from smokers.

Now, you have to understand the underlying reasons for all these smoking bans, and very little of it has to do with health issues. It is the taxes. The cost of any tobacco item is approximately 50% tax, and the government and the states who conveniently use this tax, not for education or to buffer health-care costs as they claim, but for other things. Like building stadiums, cleaning up the environment, paying for 911, building roads, and the like (yes, all those things that non-smokers utilize also). In order to have these tax palatable to smokers so they don't revolt against them, is to keep smokers social pariahs. And, of course, that is best done by convincing non-smokers that all smokers are evil (it is no longer the black hat, but the cigarette that defines the bad guy in a TV show or move), that a puff of smoke is more deadly than the fumes of the bus that just passed them by, and that smokers are low-class. Smokers, as social pariahs, are simply glad it is still legal, so they put up with the bullshit. Political correctness has banded together on this issue, and to speak against it is political suicide.

As for smoking around children, as smoking declined — particularly around children — the rate of asthma in children has risen iproportionately. You won't see them, but studies show that children exposed to germs and certain substances at a young age are more able to resist them when they are older.

Okay, I'll get off my soapbox now. However, I do agree — I believe the owner of an establishment should have the right to choose the clientèle he accepts or rejects; encourages or discourages.
